Effective July 20, 2009, we have ceased publication of the Hit Music Top 40 as a separate, "second flavor" of Total Popular Music. The formula which has been tested and developed in this weekly listing since Nov. 2008 is now the basis of our Super Sixty main chart. The Hit Music brand has been transferred to that listing, which is now based — as was the Hit Music Top 40 — on Total Airplay at Hot Adult and CHR-Top40 Radio, as reported by ChartWatch Data Services®.

To those who have supported this "second flavor" of TPM, we offer our thanks and appreciation. It has proven so successful, and popular, that this is now the main offering of Total Popular Music. For this week's Hit Music listing, please visit our "front page" or click on the link for Super Sixty.
